The Lahore board of intermediate and secondary education has managed the monitoring and law and order arrangements for the examinations which are all set to start from March 1 in the province.
As much as 2.1 million students are appearing in the examinations of SSC from the province which will be managed by the total nine boards of intermediate and secondary education. The maximum number of the students is appearing from the Lahore board which is 431,279. The officials of BISE Lahore have said that we are working our best to conduct the examinations in the transparent and fair.
The chairman of the BISE Lahore has said that we have taken proper steps for the conduction of the transparent and fair examinations. He said that the board has not only trained the invigilation staff which are to be deputed in the examination centers but also collaborated with the city government and the Panning and development Department’s Urban Unit to help the board on the monitoring system.
The home department has also issued the notification on Friday that all the chairpersons of the nine boards of Punjab which are in Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Multan, Sahiwal, DG Khan and Bahawalpur are given the magisterial powers to try offences under the Section 3 (II) of the Punjab Universities and Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Malpractices Act 1950.
Another notification which is issued from the DCO Ahmed Javed Qazi that only the students and the invigilation staff will be allowed to be in the 100 yard circle of examination centers. The assembly of more than four people is also banned within the examination centers.
The phone numbers of all the invigilation staff is also entered in the data base and the necessary security numbers have been issued to the superintendants just in case they need any kind of law and order situation.
