In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa there are total eight educational bodies which are providing its services to the students. BISE Mardan board is one of those educational boards. Board of intermediate and secondary education Mardan came into existence in year 1990 as a result of breakup from the Peshawar boards.
Just like the other educational bodies across the province, BISE Mardan board’s major goal is also to hold matriculation and intermediate level exams in fair and transparent environment. It is the main responsibility of the board to organize the matric and inter level exams for the private as well as regular students of Mardan and the other jurisdiction areas.
For this purpose, annually thousands of students of 10th class and 12th class both private and regular gets registered from the board to appear in the exams.
As we discussed earlier the board of intermediate and secondary education, Mardan (BISE Mardan) is one of the most famous educational bodies across KPK and the main reason behind its fame is its exceptional environment of taking exams and this is the reason that today the aspirants appearing in the exams held under the supervision of Mardan board are actually preparing themselves for the competitive environment.
Because of its exceptional learning environment that it is providing to the students, the literacy rate in the province is increasing day by day. The scope of the activities of the board is also increasing gradually.
There are also some other important responsibilities that the board is performing. Amongst these responsibilities, conducting exams of HSSC and SSC level is the most important one. Along with conducting the exams of these levels the board also organizes the exams of other various other certifications and diplomas.
The other tasks of the BISE Mardan includes the affiliation of schools and colleges located in Mardan and in the nearby areas, the registration of private and the regular students of matric as well as intermediate level, delivery of roll number slips to the registered students timely, provision of necessary facilities to the aspirants of the region, the declaration of fair results of different level exams.
Mardan board of intermediate and secondary education conducts annual examinations of 9th and 10th class in March and issues the date sheet of these exams in February every year while the board officials announces the exams of intermediate part 1 and intermediate part 2 in May every year and announces the date sheet of these exams in April every year.
To appear in the exams, it is necessary for the students to register themselves before exams. The registration for the students of 9th class begins in October and continues till December while the registration for intermediate part 1 begins in December and continues till January every year.
The result of these exams usually announces by the board officials after the interval of three months of conducting exams. At first the board officials announces 10th class exams result while afterwards 9th class annual exams result is announced. In September, the Mardan board announces the result of HSSC part 2 while in October it announces the annual exams result of HSSC part 1.
Soon after the result announcement, the higher authorities of board also announce merit based scholarships for the position holders and deserving candidates. It also distributes carious certifications among the eligible students.
