Malakand board of intermediate and secondary education which is also known as BISE Malakand board is one of the eight well-known educational boards in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Just like the other educational bodies of the province, Malakand Board is also enjoying a good fame because of its exceptional learning environment and the provision of best facilities that it provides to the students as well as the faculty members of Malakand and the jurisdiction areas.
Board of intermediate and secondary education, Malakand or BISE Malakand started its functioning as an autonomous commanding body earlier in 2003. From the time of its establishment it is handling all the matters relevant to education in a quite effective way. The chairperson of the Malakand board is the focal person who has given the rights to take important steps and decisions for the betterment of youth of those areas and for providing the exceptional learning environment.
Malakand board of intermediate and secondary education handles the educational affairs of Malakand and its nearby areas. Those areas which came under the dominion of this board involve, Upper Dir, Lower Dir and Bajaour Agency. It is the main responsibility of the board to provide all the required facilities to the aspirants of these regions.
Since the board is established, it is organizing the annual exams for the matriculation and intermediate level students of these areas. All the students studying and living in the above-mentioned areas appear in the exams every year organizes under the supervision of this board.
It is just because of the fairer and strict environment of this board, that today it is enjoying a good reputation among the others.
On annual basis, large numbers of private as well as regular students from Malakand, Upper Dir, Lower Dir and Bajaour agency appear in the exams of SSC and HSSC level. Along with organizing exams of these levels, the board officials are also answerable to hold the exams of different diplomas as well.
The board follows the same educational policy just like the other boards in the country. Annually it organizes the exams of SSC part 1 and matric in March in enough strict environments while in April and May it holds the annual exams of inter part 1 and inter part 2.
One month before the commencement of these exams, the personnel of BISE Malakand board issues the date sheet of these exams and also dispatches the roll numbers slips timely to all registered students.
Though, it is also worth mentioning here that without registration of the Malakand board no aspirant belonging to Malakand and the jurisdiction areas are allowed to appear in the exams of these levels as the registration process is compulsory for every candidate.
The registration time frame for both regular and private students is almost however, the process is quite different. The registration for regular candidates is normally done through the educational institutes in which they are studying while registration of private students is usually done by themselves.
After three months of conducting the annual exams of SSC and HSSC level, the board officials publicly announces the results 2018 for the both external and internal candidates in the same time frame. After the annual result 2018 announcement the aspirants who pass the exams go for their next level of studying while those aspirants who get fail in one or two subjects reappear in the exams if they wish to do so. As, every year, after two months of declaring annual exams result 2018 the board also organizes supply exams for the students of 10th class and intermediate level part 2.
Along with conducting exams and declaring results, the board also distributes the certificates, medals and cash prizes among position holders every year. It also announces scholarships for matric level and 12th class deserving and needy candidates.
