July 15th, 2018: Assistant Secretary for Educational and Cultural Affairs Marie Royce visited Islamabad for three days and during her visit she highlighted that United States gives utmost importance to education and exchange program among the two states.
During this visit, extensive range of education and exchange programs opportunities, offered to Pakistani students were discussed.
As per the issued press release, Marie Royce met the chairperson of Pakistan higher education commission Dr Tariq Banuri, who is presently working to raise a culture of quality in the higher education sector of Pakistan via scholarly interaction between United States US and Pakistani faculty as well as administrators.
Moreover, they also talk over the current educational partnership among the governments of Pakistan and America, also involving the Fulbright Program. Fulbright program is the top leading academic exchange program by the government of America.
Furthermore, the Assistant Secretary also conversed to more than one hundred and fifty Pakistanis who are ready to depart for United States of America, where they will continue their higher studies and research in the Fulbright’s Master’s, PhD and Foreign Language Teaching Assistant programs.
The Assistant Secretary for Educational and Cultural Affairs Marie Royce also visited the Pakistan National Council for the Arts, where she met the Executive Director Jamal Shah and come to know regarding the work of few top leading artists of Pakistan.
